Seppi beats Monfils to reach Moselle Open final

METZ, France -- Andreas Seppi of Italy rallied past Gael Monfils of France 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 Saturday to reach the Moselle Open final.

Seppi will play either top-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or No. 8 Nikolay Davydenko in the final. They were playing later Saturday in the other semifinal.

Monfils broke Seppi in the sixth game and did not face a single breakpoint in the first set, in which he won 94 percent of points behind his first serve. But Monfils, who has only just returned from a knee injury, showed signs of fatigue in the second set. Seppi stepped up his performance, breaking Monfils twice.

Seppi saved three break points when serving for the match and clinched it when Monfils lofted return give him an easy volley at the net.
